The finishing staves add depth to Maker's soft wheated bourbon: toasted sweetness, stone fruit and cocoa on the nose, then brown sugar, maple and warm spice, with a long, creamy dark chocolate finish. Each year's Wood Finishing release uses a different stave recipe.
