Moet & Chandon Nectar Imperial Champagne 750ml

Nectar Impérial is Moët & Chandon's sweeter Champagne. It uses the same Épernay house style as Brut Impérial but with a dosage of 45 grams per liter, which puts it in demi-sec territory.

The blend leans on Pinot Noir, 40 to 50%, with 30 to 40% Meunier and 10 to 20% Chardonnay, plus 20 to 30% reserve wines. The extra sugar rounds it out without making it heavy. Moët was founded in 1743 and belongs to LVMH.

The house describes pineapple, mango, mirabelle and apricot with a hint of vanilla, then dense tropical fruit and a brisk grapefruit freshness on the finish.

If you want the dry version, that's Moët Impérial Brut; with dessert or spicy food, Nectar is the better choice.

Try it with Thai or Indian dishes, foie gras, blue cheese or fruit tarts. Serve it very cold, and it also works over ice.
