Redbreast 15 Year Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey 750ml

Redbreast 15 takes the classic Redbreast recipe, single pot still whiskey triple distilled at Midleton, and gives it three more years in oak than the 12. The blend of first-fill and refill bourbon and sherry casks is set to bring out the spice.

Those years show as depth: a tawny colour, vanilla and roasted grain, raisin and orange peel, then fleshy fruit and toasted wood, with a long finish of oak and a touch of espresso. It's bottled at 46%, stronger than the 12, and the extra strength carries more texture.

Serve it neat in a tulip glass; a drop of water brings out the orange peel.
