Siempre Plata is a 100% agave tequila from Arandas in the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico, bottled at 40% alcohol in a 750ml bottle.
Siempre was founded in 2015 by Toronto couple Monica Sanita-Ramirez and Alex Lacroix. Since 2024 it has been made with the Vivanco family at their Viva Mexico distillery (NOM 1414), with master distiller Sergio Cruz. The agave comes from the Vivanco estate, is cooked in brick ovens, fermented with rum and champagne yeasts and distilled twice in copper pot stills.
Expect floral notes, sweet herbs, honeydew and warming spice. The Beverage Testing Institute gives the current bottling 93 points, calling it herbaceous and savory with a sea-breeze salinity. Siempre announced in 2024 that its Plata was verified additive-free by Tequila Matchmaker.
The bottle is made from recycled glass with a natural cork, and the label uses agave and hemp fibers.
