This Buffalo Trace Kosher Straight Rye Recipe bottle is part of the kosher series Buffalo Trace makes in Frankfort, Kentucky, with the Chicago Rabbinical Council (cRc). The whiskey is aged seven years in barrels set aside for kosher production and bottled at 47% (94 proof).

To meet Passover rules, the barrels were transferred to a non-Jewish owner under cRc supervision, and the whiskey is bottled without contact with non-kosher spirits. It is spicy and dry, with rye bread, pepper, caramel and oak. It is released after Passover each year.
