Jinro 24 is made by HiteJinro in South Korea and imported to the US by Jinro America Inc. Spec's notes that it is produced for international markets only, and retailers sell it as Jinro 24 Soju or Jinro Soju 24.
Soju is a clear Korean spirit, and the 24 in the name is its strength: 24% alcohol (48 proof), as listed by Spec's, Flaviar and Master of Malt. Spec's says it is made from the finest natural ingredients.
Master of Malt describes a vodka-like spirit with light brown-sugar sweetness, cracked black pepper and a faint herbal note. Spec's calls it clean and smooth.
Against Jinro Chamisul Original Soju, Jinro 24 is stronger (24% against 20.1%) and comes in larger bottles; for mixing cocktails or pouring for a crowd, choose Jinro 24.
Spec's suggests sipping it neat or mixing it with fruit juices and other mixers. Pour it cold; a splash of grapefruit juice and soda over ice makes an easy long drink.
