Pasote Blanco Tequila 750ml

Pasote Blanco is a 100% agave tequila from Los Altos, the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico, bottled at 40% alcohol in a 750ml bottle.

Pasote launched in 2016 and is now made by the Padilla family at Tequila El Tepozán (NOM 1584) in San Julián, from single-estate agave. The agave is cooked in brick ovens, crushed with a roller and screw mill, fermented in stainless steel and distilled twice in a stainless pot still.

Expect cooked agave and jalapeño on the nose, then fresh jalapeño, lemon peel and white pepper, with honey on the long finish. VinePair (Tim McKirdy) gives it 94 points for its rich, velvety mouthfeel, The Tasting Panel 93 and Wine Enthusiast (Kara Newman) 92.
