Siete Leguas Siete Decadas Blanco Tequila 700ml

Siete Leguas Siete Décadas Blanco is a limited-edition, 100% agave tequila from Atotonilco el Alto in the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico, bottled at 42% alcohol in a 700ml bottle.

Siete Leguas released it in 2022 to mark the distillery's 70th anniversary (it was founded in 1952; NOM 1120). It is made only from wild, hillside-grown agave about ten years old, cooked about three days in brick ovens, crushed entirely by tahona, fermented with the fibers and wild yeast in open tanks, and distilled twice in small copper pot stills with the fibers in the still. Bottles are numbered.

Agave Matchmaker's community reviewers describe cooked agave, citrus, minerality and pepper. Siete Leguas joined Tequila Matchmaker's confirmed additive-free brands, as Punch reported in 2023.

Compared with the regular Siete Leguas Blanco, which blends tahona and roller-mill tequila at 40%, Siete Décadas is all tahona and a little stronger.
