The flagship wine of the Banshee portfolio, Banshee Sonoma County Pinot Noir 2023 is a true expression of Sonoma’s finest terroirs. With each vintage, the vineyard sourcing has grown more refined, drawing primarily from select plots in Los Carneros, Petaluma Gap, Sonoma Coast, and Sonoma Valley. This commitment to excellence results in a Pinot Noir that’s both vibrant and elegantly structured.
Made from 100% Pinot Noir, the grapes were handpicked and destemmed before undergoing cool fermentation in small stainless steel tanks for 21 days. The wine was then aged for 8 months in 25% new French oak barrels, using premium coopers including Cavin, Rousseau, Remond, Francois Freres, D&J, Marsannay, and Tremeaux.
The 2023 vintage opens with expressive aromas of dried cherry, earthy peat moss, and fresh Redwood forest, followed by hints of hyacinth, sandalwood, and confectioners sugar. On the palate, a fruit-forward burst of tart raspberry and bramble is balanced by subtle oak tones and a bright pop of acidity. The result is a wine with impressive weight and finesse—ideal for pairing with food, yet entirely enjoyable on its own.

"Layers of dark cherries, spices, blackberry bush and violets. The palate is medium-bodied with firmly framed tannins and bright acidity, showing dried herbs, graphite and plums. Generous and bold." |
