The fruit is finished with Madagascan vanilla, Moroccan citrus peel, honey, ginger, clove and cinnamon, and the recipe includes XO cognac. It launched in 1982, inspired by a raspberry liqueur made in the Loire Valley in the late 1600s, and it is bottled at 16.5%.
It pours a deep plum color and smells of black cherry and jam. The palate is lightly sweet, with candied berry and a gentle warmth from the cognac.
