Cutwater Spirits is a San Diego distillery founded in 2016 by former Ballast Point executives, with a Miramar facility that houses a distillery and an in-house canning line. Anheuser-Busch bought the company in 2019.

The base is Cutwater Tequila Blanco, made from 100% blue agave, with mango flavor and a hint of lime. Each 12-ounce can is 12.5% alcohol, and the brand lists 350 calories and 25 grams of sugar per can. It is labeled gluten-free. It is not the Spicy Mango version.

The brand calls it "A Mango Twist" and describes a juicy burst of mango flavor with a hint of lime.

Against Cutwater Tequila Lime Margarita, the Mango Margarita matches its strength but trades the classic sour for tropical fruit; for a fruit-forward margarita, choose the Mango.

The brand suggests a chili-lime rim and a mango spear. Mix salt, chili powder and a little lime zest, wet the glass edge with a lime wedge and dip, then pour the can over ice. The salty, spicy rim keeps the mango from tasting too sweet.
