Dolin Genepy le Chamois Liqueur 750ml

Dolin has been making liqueurs in Chambéry, in Savoie, since 1821, and this génépy is distilled in a copper still from génépi, the small alpine wormwood of the Savoyard mountains, along with other alpine herbs.

It is pale and fresh: alpine herbs and a light bitterness, then a cool, gently sweet and clean finish.

Think of it as a lighter, drier relative of Yellow Chartreuse, at well under half the price. Buy it to pour after a big dinner, the way it is drunk in Alpine ski towns, or to bring an herbal note to a cocktail.

Dolin suggests it as a digestif or in cocktails. Serve it chilled in a small glass, or use it in place of Chartreuse in a Last Word with gin, lime and maraschino.
