Giffard Premium Caribbean Pineapple Liqueur 750ml

Giffard makes this premium liqueur in France from fresh Caribbean pineapples and an infusion of candied pineapple, blended with seven-year-old Caribbean rum and spices. It is bottled at 20%.

It is golden and ripe: fresh and caramelized pineapple, a little brown sugar and spice, and the rum's warmth underneath. The rum gives it a warm, rounded finish, and it holds up well in shaken drinks. It is concentrated, so half an ounce adds plenty of fruit.

This is a step up from pineapple juice in a tiki drink, adding fruit without watering it down. Next to Giffard Banane du Brésil, it is the other essential tropical bottle for a home tiki bar.

Giffard suggests a Caribbean Colada, a Tropical Pineapple Daiquiri with rum, or a Pineapple Sour. It also works in a Margarita in place of orange liqueur.
