On The Rocks was founded in 2015 by Patrick Halbert and Rocco Milano, and Beam Suntory, now Suntory Global Spirits, bought the brand in September 2020. On The Rocks makes its own cocktails using the company's spirits.

It's made with real spirit: Tres Generaciones tequila, house-made triple sec, lime and carbonation. The brand gives 10% alcohol, with 120 calories and 9.4g of carbohydrates per 5 ounce serving. This pack holds four 355ml cans.

The brand describes zesty, bright lime with smooth tequila and a fizzy finish, a bold, bubbly take on the classic margarita.

Against On The Rocks Hornitos Margarita, the Sparkling Lime is fizzy and half the strength, at 10% against 20%; for a margarita straight from the can at a picnic or on a rooftop, choose the Sparkling Lime.

The brand says simply chill and enjoy, and Blackwell's adds that it works from the can or over ice. Pour gently down the side of the glass to keep the bubbles, add a lime wedge, and don't shake it.
