Papa's Pilar Flagship Blonde Rum 750ml

Papa's Pilar Flagship Blonde is a solera blend of six molasses rums from the Dominican Republic, Panama, Venezuela and Florida, finished in bourbon barrels and Oloroso sherry casks. The brand is named after Ernest Hemingway's boat and is based in Key West. It is bottled at 42%.

It is round and fruity, with banana, pineapple custard, butterscotch and a little toffee, and a dry, warming finish.

The Blonde is a lighter, brighter rum for cocktails. It has more flavor than a typical white such as Bacardi Superior; for the richer style, try Papa's Pilar Dark.

The brand features a Hemingway Daiquiri: two ounces of rum shaken with lime, grapefruit juice and a little maraschino liqueur. It also works in tiki drinks and a rum and soda.
