Tanduay Silver Asian Rum 750ml

Tanduay Silver is sold in the US as Tanduay Asian Rum Silver. It is a blend of molasses rums aged up to five years in ex-bourbon barrels, then lightly filtered, which leaves a pale straw color. Tanduay has made rum in the Philippines since 1854, and this one is bottled at 40%.

It is soft and lightly sweet, with coconut, vanilla, marzipan and cream, and a lively, slightly dry finish.

For a Piña Colada or a rum and Coke, it gives more flavor than Bacardi Superior at about the same price. For the long-aged Tanduay, try Tanduay Double.

Use it in a Piña Colada, a Mojito or a highball with soda and lime. The brand also suggests sipping it straight over ice, where the light coconut note comes through, or with coconut water and lime.
