Oregon's Willamette Valley, south of Portland, has a cool, damp climate often compared with Burgundy's, and it has built its name on Pinot Noir: red-fruited, silky and lighter on its feet than most California Pinot. The valley also makes Pinot Gris, Chardonnay and traditional-method sparkling wine. This page brings together our Willamette Valley bottles from producers such as Domaine Drouhin, Argyle, Montinore and Roco, from easy-drinking Pinot Noir to reserve and single-vineyard bottlings. Serve Willamette Pinot Noir slightly cool, around 60°F, to keep the fruit fresh. It is one of the most food-friendly reds there is: try it with salmon, roast chicken, mushrooms or duck. Pinot Gris suits seafood and lighter Asian dishes.
