Diplomatico Single Vintage Rum 2013 700ml

Diplomático Single Vintage 2013 was distilled in 2013 and aged 10 years. Spirit from a Barbet column still, a pot still and a batch kettle was blended before aging, so the decade in ex-bourbon and ex-whiskey casks also served as the marrying time. Destilerías Unidas made about 18,000 bottles, roughly 6,000 of them for the US, at 43%.

It is a richer, more layered Diplomático, with dried fruit, toffee, cocoa and oak, and more structure than the house's younger rums.

This is a limited bottle for a Diplomático fan or a gift. It is drier and more serious than Reserva Exclusiva; for the house's other collector bottle, see Ambassador Selection.

The producer's serve is simply neat. Pour it in a tulip glass, let it rest a few minutes, and add a drop of water if you like.
