Evesham Wood Willamette Valley Pinot Noir 2024 750ml

Evesham Wood Willamette Valley Pinot Noir 2024 is a dry red wine from Oregon's Willamette Valley, made from 100% Pinot Noir and bottled at 13% alcohol.

Evesham Wood is a small winery in the Eola-Amity Hills. This bottling is blended from the same vineyards behind its single-vineyard wines, including Mahonia, Sojeau, Koosah, Illahe and Keeler, to give a picture of the year across the valley. It is fermented in small lots and aged a full year in French oak.

Expect red flowers, spice, wild berries and citrus on the nose, then crunchy red fruit and orange peel with fresh acidity and gentle tannins. James Suckling gives it 94 points and calls it a complete wine and a good value.

If you like red Burgundy but not the prices, Willamette Valley Pinot Noir like this offers the same fresh, savory style for much less.

Serve it lightly chilled with salmon, roast chicken, mushroom dishes or duck.
