Siduri was founded in 1994 by Adam and Dianna Lee, whose first wine came from Anderson Valley. Jackson Family Wines bought the winery in January 2015, and today's winemaker is Matt Revellette, formerly of Williams Selyem, Kosta Browne and Quintessa. Siduri calls the Santa Lucia Highlands its spiritual home.
The 2024 is a multi-vineyard blend from Rosella's, for freshness and acidity, Garys', for dark fruit and structure, plus Soberanes, Sierra Mar and Kitewinder. These sit on sandy, rocky benchlands above the Salinas Valley in Monterey County. The winery describes measured oak aging. It's 14.5% alcohol.
The winery calls it dark and earthy but elegant and refined. Vinous finds black raspberry, blood orange, lavender, underbrush and black tea, and calls the 2024 a return to form after a lighter 2023.
Against Luli Pinot Noir Santa Lucia Highlands 2022, Siduri is the younger 2024 from named vineyards like Rosella's and Garys', at a lower price; for a current-vintage SLH blend, choose Siduri.
The winery pairs it with pulled pork sliders.
