The Finnish Long Drink Strong 6-Pack 355ml

The Long Drink Company is based in Chicago, and its cans read Product of USA. It was founded by three Finns with Evan Burns, and the drink takes its cue from the Finnish lonkero, first made for the 1952 Helsinki Olympics.

It's made with distilled spirit, built on gin and grapefruit, and it's all natural and gluten-free. At 8.5% alcohol it carries about 55% more alcohol than Traditional. The 6-pack holds 12oz cans.

Expect crisp, lightly sweet grapefruit and citrus with a hint of juniper, the same profile as Traditional with more strength behind it.

Against The Finnish Long Drink Traditional, Strong has the same citrus flavor at 8.5% instead of 5.5%; for a bolder can that drinks like a proper gin highball, choose Strong.

Serve it very cold. Pouring it over ice in a tall glass softens the extra strength as the ice melts, and a grapefruit or lemon wedge brings out the citrus.
