Bota Box makes California wine in 3L boxes, which hold as much as four 750ml bottles and stay fresh for about a month after opening. The core range covers Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc and Dry Rosé. Nighthawk Black is the richer line, including a bourbon barrel Cabernet, and Brightside blends Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Grigio.
Tip: keep the whites and rosé in the fridge and pour as needed. A box is good value for parties and weeknight dinners. Styles change through the year.
