Fort Hamilton Double Barrel Rye Whiskey 750ml

Fort Hamilton is a Brooklyn distillery, and Double Barrel is a New York straight rye blended from three distilleries: its own, Taconic in Stanfordville, New York (90% rye and 10% malted barley from New York grain), and MGP in Indiana (95% rye, 5% malted barley).

The ryes spend at least three years in standard 53-gallon and smaller 30-gallon barrels at char level 3, and the blend is bottled at 92 proof without chill filtering. The small barrels add oak and colour faster. Dill and fennel on the nose, then dark cocoa, caramel and yellow apple with honey, and a finish with a hint of sea salt.
