Herradura Legend Anejo Tequila 750ml

Herradura Legend is a 100% blue agave añejo tequila from Amatitán in Jalisco, Mexico, bottled at 40% alcohol in a 750ml bottle.

Casa Herradura (NOM 1119), owned by Brown-Forman, first released Legend in October 2020 in a few US markets, New York among them. The tequila is naturally fermented and distilled, then aged 14 months in new American white oak barrels that Herradura chars heavily and cuts with deep grooves, so the spirit touches more toasted wood.

Herradura describes rich oak, dried fruit, citrus, vanilla, caramel and roasted agave with a hint of smoke and spice, and a long, smooth finish. VinePair's Aaron Goldfarb calls it a very bourbon-y tequila loaded with barrel sweetness.

It is the boldest añejo in the Herradura range, much oakier than the classic Herradura Añejo; a good bottle for bourbon drinkers.
