Orin Swift Blank Stare Sauvignon Blanc 2025 is a dry white wine from the Russian River Valley in Sonoma County, California, made from 100% Sauvignon Blanc and bottled at 14.8% alcohol in a 750ml bottle.
Orin Swift is the label of winemaker and creative director Dave Phinney, and Blank Stare's label is a collage of layered magazine images. The grapes come from the cool Russian River Valley, where they ripen slowly. For the 2025, 70% of the wine was fermented in stainless steel and 30% was fermented and aged for three months in French oak barrels, 37% of them new.
Orin Swift describes passion fruit, pink guava, gooseberry and lime zest, then key lime pie and pear on a taut palate with crisp acidity. Wine Enthusiast's Tom R. Capo calls the 2025 ripe and tropical.
If you like the tropical style of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, this has the same fruit with a rounder texture from the oak.
Serve it well chilled with goat cheese, oysters, grilled shrimp or fish tacos.
