Rhum Barbancourt Haitian Proof White Rum 750ml

Rhum Barbancourt has made rum in Haiti since 1862, when Dupré Barbancourt founded the company. Like all its rums, this white is distilled from fresh sugarcane juice rather than molasses, and it is double distilled. Haitian Proof is the stronger white, bottled at 55%, or 110 proof.

Cane juice gives it a fresh, grassy character: lemongrass, coconut husk, licorice and pineapple, creamy but dry.

This is the most interesting white rum we sell for under $25. The extra strength carries flavor through a Daiquiri; for a softer, lower-proof white, choose Planteray 3 Stars.

Shake it into a Daiquiri with fresh lime and cane syrup, or build a Mojito with mint and soda. Because of the strength, use a little less rum than the recipe calls for, or add an extra splash of soda.
