Ardbeg Anamorphic Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky 750ml

Ardbeg Anamorphic is a limited edition from Ardbeg on Islay, bottled at 48.2%. It is built around a new cask treatment: the heads of the casks were deeply scored, then given a high mocha toast to expose more wood to the spirit.

That toasting tempers Ardbeg's brine and brings out a hidden chocolate sweetness. The result moves between sweet, smoky, herbal and spicy notes, with mocha, dark chocolate and peat smoke leading to a long, smoky finish. It is one of Ardbeg's more experimental releases.
