Bowmore Timeless Series 27 Year is a limited release of 3,000 bottles. It spent fifteen years in sherry and bourbon casks, then twelve more in first-fill oloroso butts, and is bottled at cask strength, 52.7%.

Bowmore, founded in 1779 on the shore of Loch Indaal, is one of Scotland's oldest distilleries. The long oloroso finish dominates: dark gold, with cooked plum, prune jam, raisin and sultana, toffee, maple syrup, liquorice, grilled orange peel and smoked sea salt, then tobacco, rich cocoa and warming peat smoke, and a long finish of burnt wood, dried fruit and a touch of frankincense.
