Laphroaig The Ian Hunter Story Book 4: Malt Master is a 34-year-old Islay single malt and the fourth release in Laphroaig's Ian Hunter series, bottled at 46.2%.
The series honours Ian Hunter, the last of the founding Johnston family to run Laphroaig, who shaped the distillery into what it is today. This chapter celebrates his work as a malt master. It was matured in ex-bourbon barrels and oloroso sherry casks, and shows honey, black pepper, peach and orange blossom alongside the signature Laphroaig peat, with a long wood-smoke finish.
For a very rare, story-led Laphroaig, this is our pick. For another very old Laphroaig, choose Laphroaig 38 Archive Collection; for a cask-strength one, see Laphroaig 25 Cask Strength.
Sip it neat, slowly, and share it with care.
We carry it in the 750ml size, in limited quantities. It is also on our Laphroaig and peated Scotch pages, and listed with our collector bottles. More bottles are under single malt Scotch, and the rest of our Scotch is a click away. Pick it up at our Brooklyn store or get same-day delivery in Brooklyn, Manhattan & Queens.
