Casamigos Reposado is a blue Weber agave tequila from Jalisco, Mexico, aged in oak and bottled at 40% alcohol. We carry it in 50ml, 375ml, 750ml, 1L and 1.75L sizes.
Casamigos was founded by George Clooney, Rande Gerber and Mike Meldman and has been owned by Diageo since 2017; it is made at NOM 1609. The agave is roasted in brick ovens for three days, fermented for about 80 hours with a proprietary yeast and distilled twice, then aged about seven months in American white oak.
Expect caramel, cocoa and spice with hints of tobacco and leather, and a sweet, peppery finish. Wine Enthusiast (Kara Newman) gives it 92 points.
Its longer time in oak makes it one of the softer, sweeter reposados, a natural step up for Casamigos Blanco drinkers.
