Herzog Jeunesse Cabernet Sauvignon 750ml

Jeunesse is a semi-sweet Cabernet: Herzog leaves a good amount of natural grape sugar in the wine, which makes it soft, fruity and very easy to drink. It's a certified kosher wine, and one of the easiest reds on our shelf to like.

Herzog Wine Cellars makes it in Oxnard, California, as part of the Herzog family's Royal Wine Corp. Jeunesse is the family's five-wine line of off-dry wines for everyday drinking. Ripe California grapes are fermented cold in stainless steel, with no heavy oak, to keep the fruit fresh. The current vintage is 12% alcohol.

The winery describes a vibrant ruby wine with fresh berry and cherry, a hint of sweetness, a smooth texture and a lasting finish.

If you usually buy sweet red wine, this is a good step toward Cabernet. If you want a dry Cab instead, pick something else from our Cabernet Sauvignon.

Herzog says to serve it chilled. Try it with barbecue, spicy dishes or Asian food, where a little sweetness helps.
