Lindemans Bin 45 Cabernet Sauvignon 1.5L

Bin 45 is the Cabernet in Lindeman's Bin Series, the everyday range that began with Bin 65 Chardonnay in 1985. This is the 1.5L, which holds the same as two standard bottles.

Lindeman's goes back to 1843, when Dr. Henry Lindeman planted vines in the Hunter Valley. The brand is now owned by Treasury Wine Estates. The wine carries the South Eastern Australia label, which lets the winemakers blend fruit from vineyards across several states, so it tastes much the same from one year to the next.

The winery describes dark berries and cassis, with hints of chocolate and mint, in a medium-bodied red.

For a party or a big family dinner, the 1.5L is the easy buy. If you'd rather have a single 750ml for the table, look through our wines under $20.

Serve it cool, around 60°F, and it'll go with pizza, burgers or grilled sausages. Once it's open, keep it sealed in the fridge and finish it within three or four days.
