Matthiasson Linda Vista Vineyard Chardonnay 2024 750ml

Matthiasson Linda Vista Vineyard Chardonnay 2024 is a dry white wine from the Oak Knoll District of Napa Valley, bottled at 12.5% alcohol.

Steve and Jill Matthiasson farm the organic Linda Vista Vineyard right behind their home in the cool west Oak Knoll area. The grapes are picked on eight separate dates, whole-cluster pressed, then fermented with native yeast and aged on the lees in seasoned French oak, with no new oak. Only a third of the barrels go through malolactic fermentation.

Expect Meyer lemon, Golden Delicious apple, yellow peach, musk melon and honey, with vibrant acidity, a light creaminess and a clean, mineral finish.

If you find most Napa Chardonnay too rich, this is the fresh, restrained alternative.

Serve it chilled with roast chicken, crab cakes, oysters, shellfish crudo or grilled pork chops.
