Rutherford Hill sits on the Silverado Trail in Napa's Rutherford AVA, known for its winemaking caves. The AJT Collection is named for founder Anthony J. Terlato.

This is a single-vineyard wine from the estate AJT Vineyard in Rutherford, which is Napa Green certified. The 2023 is 87% Sauvignon Blanc and 13% Sauvignon Gris, fermented in stainless steel and then aged six months in new French oak. It's vegan, from a family-owned winery.

The winery describes citrus, tropical fruit and green apple, then lime, grapefruit and green apple with lively acidity and a clean, crisp finish.

Against Groth, the AJT has more new-oak polish; for a richer Napa white, choose Rutherford Hill.

Serve it lightly chilled with roast chicken, crab cakes or creamy pasta. The new oak gives it the weight to stand up to richer dishes.
