Beaulieu Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 2022 750ml

Georges de Latour founded Beaulieu Vineyard in Rutherford in 1900, and this Napa Valley Cabernet is the bottle most people know BV by. It sits one step below the winery's Georges de Latour Private Reserve.

BV has been owned by Treasury Wine Estates since 2016, and Trevor Durling makes the wine. The 2022 draws mostly on Rutherford, Calistoga and St. Helena fruit. It's 81% Cabernet Sauvignon, with a little Petite Sirah among the other grapes. It spent 15 months in French and European oak, 30% of it new.

The winery describes caramel and ripe red berries, then a juicy, generous palate of strawberry, black cherry and cassis with kola nut, mocha and toast. It calls the wine very drinkable on release.
