Black Box Cabernet Sauvignon

Black Box says its wine stays fresh for up to six weeks after opening. That's the point of it: a glass of Cabernet on a Tuesday without opening a bottle you won't finish.

The brand belongs to E. & J. Gallo, which bought it in 2021, and it's made in Modesto, California. It comes in three sizes: the 3L box holds about four 750ml bottles, the 1L box holds a little more than one bottle, and the 500ml carton pours about three glasses.

The winery describes a full-bodied, balanced Cabernet with blackberry up front and toasted oak on a lingering finish.

Black Box suggests filet mignon, braised ribs or mushroom pizza. An opened box doesn't need the fridge; keep it somewhere cool, below 70°F.
