Blackened American Whiskey 750ml

Blackened is the whiskey Metallica made with the late master distiller Dave Pickerell. It's a blend of bourbons and ryes, averaging around seven years old, finished in black brandy casks while Metallica's music is played into the barrels through subwoofers, a process the brand calls Black Noise.

The low-frequency sound makes the whiskey move against the wood, and each batch has its own playlist. In the glass it's smooth and sweet: burnt caramel, oak and honey on the nose, then cinnamon, clove, allspice and a little mint, with apricot underneath and a creamy butterscotch and maple finish. It's bottled at 45%.
