Traveller Whiskey Blend No. 40 750ml

Traveller is the whiskey country singer Chris Stapleton made with Harlen Wheatley, master distiller at Buffalo Trace. They tasted more than 50 blends before settling on this one, Blend No. 40, which launched nationwide in January 2024.

All of the whiskey in it comes from Sazerac's distilleries, the family that owns Buffalo Trace. It's built to be easy to drink: vanilla, caramel, shortbread and a little dried fruit on the nose, then a gently sweet palate with spice, toasted nut and oak, and a satisfying finish. It's bottled at 45%.

It's a crowd-pleaser for a bourbon drinker who wants something smooth and not too hot. If you like Buffalo Trace, it's a natural next bottle; for a blend with more edge, try Blackened.

Pour it neat or over ice. It's also a good base for a whiskey highball with a splash of soda and an orange twist.
