Brisa Suave Vinho Verde 1L

Brisa Suave is a Vinho Verde from the Minho region of northern Portugal. Mysa, the US natural-wine retailer and club that carries it, lists it by brand name only, without naming the winery behind it.

Mysa lists the grapes as Loureiro, Arinto and Trajadura, three white varieties of the Vinho Verde region, without percentages. It also describes minimal-intervention winemaking, sustainable farming and low sulfur, though it cites no certification. It's a light 10.5% alcohol, and it comes in a 1-liter bottle, a third more wine than a standard 750ml.

Mysa describes it as crisp, with green apple, citrus, melon and peach and a creamy finish.

Against Casal Garcia Vinho Verde, Brisa Suave gives you a full liter; for a bigger bottle to share at a picnic or a backyard dinner, choose Brisa Suave.

Serve it well chilled as an aperitif, or pour it with grilled sardines, shrimp, clams, salads and other light summer dishes. At 10.5% it's an easy wine for a long afternoon. Drink it young, while it's fresh.
