Embark on a sensory journey with our special cuvée, a heartfelt tribute to the grandfather of owner Sophie Kessler-Matière. Renowned for his piercing blue eyes and expertise as an affineur of Bleu d’Auvergne cheese in the scenic Cantal region, his legacy lives on through this exceptional wine. Immerse yourself in the warmth of Chez Mimi – Raulhac, where we now extend our hospitality with charming gîtes and family catering.

Terroir & Viticulture: Sourced from meticulously selected plots in the “Charbonnières” and Cansaud lieux-dits, our cuvée embodies the essence of the terroir. Our vineyards adhere to HVE level 3, featuring 2 distinctive lieux-dits, with practices such as disbudding, green harvesting, and meticulous 100% manual harvesting.

Yield: Experience the richness of small yields, ranging from 30 to 35 hl/ha, ensuring the utmost quality in every bottle.

Grape Varieties & Blending: A harmonious blend awaits, with 50% Syrah hailing from Les Charbonnières and Cansaud lieux-dits, and an equally balanced 50% Grenache sourced from the Les Charbonnières lieux-dits.

Vinification & Maturation: Harvested by hand in mid-September, the grapes undergo a meticulous process within our estate cellars in the heart of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. With total destemming and fermentation at 25ºC, the wine undergoes traditional maturation in stainless steel tanks.

Food & Wine Pairing: Indulge in the perfect pairing for this cuvée – whether it's with grilled red meat, duck, or vegetarian delights like sweet potato curry or aubergine lasagne. Robert Parker Wine Advocate

"Darker-hued than the Clef de Saint Thomas cuvée, the 2019 Chateauneuf du Pape Pierre Troupel is a 50-50 blend of Grenache and Syrah from a sandy terroir (Charbonnières). Aged exclusively in stainless steel, it delivers plenty of black cherries and blackberries on the nose, along with a fresh, slightly herbal-garrigue note. Full-bodied, creamy and supple, it's a rich, concentrated effort with a long finish, completely unadorned by oak."

Wine Enthusiast

"Aromas of ripe juicy cherries, rhubarb and mint leaves gently rolled in dusty sun-scorched earth welcome the nose. The palate is prominently dark fruited, with black peppercorn that persists through the midpalate, leading to a dried tarragon and granitic finish."
