Gulp Hablo was launched in 2017 by the New York importer T. Edward Wines, co-founded by Tom Byrnes. The wine is made by the Parra Jiménez family at Bodegas Parra Jiménez in Castilla-La Mancha, founded in 1993, with Juan Antonio Ponce of Bodegas Ponce consulting.
Gulp Hablo White is 100% Verdejo from vineyards around the village of Las Mesas. The grapes are farmed organically and biodynamically, the wine is vegan, and it ferments on native yeast in stainless steel. It comes in the brand's clear one-liter bottle with a screw cap, and in 2026 the brand added cans.
It's a bright, crisp, light-bodied white: citrus and green apple, a stony, crushed-rock edge and a hint of fresh-cut grass.
Against Gulp Hablo Rosé, the White is the same producer's crisp, grassy Verdejo; for a dry white rather than a pink, choose the White.
Serve it cold. The liter bottle holds a third more than a standard one and suits picnics, rooftops and weeknight dinners, and it works with salads, grilled shrimp or fish tacos.
