Hampton Water was created by Jon Bon Jovi, his son Jesse Bongiovi and the winemaker Gérard Bertrand, who makes the wine. The brand describes itself as a family business led by Jesse and Jon Bon Jovi, in partnership with Bertrand.
It's an AOP Languedoc rosé of Grenache, Cinsault, Mourvèdre and Syrah, and two sources give the 2025 as 60% Grenache, 15% Cinsault, 15% Mourvèdre and 10% Syrah. Each grape is picked separately, chilled and pressed directly, keeping only free-run and first-press juice. Part of the wine is aged in barrels, new French oak according to retailers, and it's bottled early. It's 13% alcohol.
The producer describes pale pink color, red fruit, citrus and spice on the nose, and a mineral, fresh, intense palate. Wine.com calls it fresh and lively, with strawberry and citrus.
Against Gérard Bertrand Côte des Roses, Hampton Water has part of the wine aged in oak; for a rosé with some barrel aging, choose Hampton Water.
The producer suggests it as an aperitif or with sushi, salads and grilled fish. Serve it chilled.
