Kavalan Triple Sherry Cask Single Malt Whisky Year of the Horse Gift Set with Snifter Glass 700ml

This is Kavalan's Triple Sherry Cask in the 2026 Year of the Horse gift box, the one with the golden horse on it, and a snifter glass packed alongside. Taiwanese single malt, 43% alcohol, 700ml.

Three kinds of sherry cask go into it: oloroso, Pedro Ximénez and moscatel. Kavalan has been making single malt in Yilan since 2005, part of the King Car group, using meltwater off Snow Mountain, and the subtropical heat there matures whisky far faster than Scotland can.

Deep red-brown in the glass. Cherry and blueberry, then fig, raisin, cola and damson jam, with caramel and roasted pineapple behind it and a faint salt note at the end. The Beverage Testing Institute awarded it a gold medal.

This is the sherried counterpart to the port-finished Concertmaster. If one of the two is a present, make it this one: box, glass and all, there is nothing left to wrap.
