Milagro Añejo is a 100% blue agave tequila from the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico, bottled at 40% alcohol in a 750ml bottle.
Milagro was founded in 1998 by two college friends and is owned by William Grant & Sons, which makes it in the Jalisco highlands (NOM 1559) with master distiller Pedro Juárez. Part of the agave is roasted about 36 hours in brick ovens; it is fermented 72 hours in stainless steel, distilled once in a pot still and once in a column still, and aged 14 months in American oak.
Milagro calls it smooth, refined and agave-forward. Wine Enthusiast's Kara Newman describes a balanced tequila with a lightly smoky scent and a brisk, smoky finish with an undercurrent of caramel. It won gold at the 2023 IWSC.
It is one of the best-value añejos we sell; for the younger style see Milagro Reposado.
Sip it neat or on ice, or use it in an añejo old fashioned.
