Hibiki 21 Year Japanese Whisky 750ml

Hibiki 21 is Suntory's older blend: malt and grain whiskies aged at least 21 years, from Yamazaki, Hakushu and Chita, married by the Suntory blending team. It's bottled at 43%.

Age gives it depth without weight. Caramelised custard and dried fruit on the nose, the same on the palate with drier oak and cigar leaf over a faint wisp of smoke, and a long, even finish. The bottle has 24 facets for the 24 seasons of the Japanese calendar, with a handmade washi paper label.

Serve it neat, slowly, after dinner. A drop of water helps the fruit come forward.
