Teremana Reposado is a 100% agave tequila from Jesús María in the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico, aged in oak and bottled at 40% alcohol. We carry it in 375ml, 750ml and 1L sizes.
Teremana was founded by Dwayne Johnson with Dany Garcia, and is made with the López family at Destilería Teremana de Agave (NOM 1613). The agave is cooked in brick ovens for more than 72 hours, crushed with a roller mill and distilled twice in handmade copper pot stills, then rested at least two months in ex-bourbon barrels.
Expect agave and oak with light vanilla, a hint of caramel, stone fruit and spice. VinePair (Tim McKirdy) gives it 92 points, noting just a kiss of oak adding subtle sweetness and complexity.
It is a lightly oaked reposado that still tastes of agave, made in the same style as Teremana Blanco.
