Yamazaki 25 is the oldest regular bottling from Japan's first malt distillery: malts aged at least 25 years, from a range of casks that includes Spanish oak sherry casks and Mizunara, bottled at 43%.
Very little of it is made, and it has become one of the most sought-after whiskies in the world. A quarter century in wood makes it dark, dense and slow to open.
This is the bottle for the serious collector or a once-in-a-lifetime occasion. To understand where it comes from, start with the 18 Year and 12 Year.
If you open it, pour a small measure neat into a tulip glass and leave it for ten minutes before tasting.
We carry it in the 750ml size; we have very few. It is also listed with our collector bottles, and the rest of the range is on our Yamazaki page. More bottles are under Japanese whisky, and the rest of our whiskey is a click away. Pick it up at our Brooklyn store or get same-day delivery across NYC.
