Black Stallion Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2023 750ml

Black Stallion's Oak Knoll estate used to be a horse-riding facility, and the old stable is now its barrel cellar. Wine Enthusiast named it American Winery of the Year in 2023.

The Indelicato family, owners of Delicato Family Wines, have owned the 32-acre estate on the Silverado Trail since 2010. Ralf Holdenried directs winemaking. The 2023 is about 90% Cabernet Sauvignon with Petite Sirah, Syrah and a little Zinfandel, from Oak Knoll, Pope Valley and Rutherford fruit, aged 18 months. It's 14.5% alcohol.

The importer describes ripe plum, cassis and black cherry with well-integrated oak, a bold, dense palate and a long, rounded finish.
