Chimney Rock's Cabernet is estate-grown on the Silverado Trail in the Stags Leap District, the Napa sub-region known for supple, polished tannins. The 2016 now has about ten years in bottle.
The Terlato family owns the winery, and Elizabeth Vianna is head winemaker and general manager. Each block is fermented separately and aged in French oak. Wine Enthusiast notes the 2016 was softened with about 25% Merlot. It's 14.5% alcohol.
The winery describes a finely structured wine with supple tannins. Critics note blackcurrant, red and black cherry, rose petal and spice box.

Wine Spectator gives it until 2029. Decant it off any sediment and serve it with roast lamb or a ribeye.
