Hardin Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2024 750ml

Hardin is a négociant Cabernet: Polaner Selections, the New York importer, buys small lots of finished wine from established Napa estates and blends them under its own label. The estates are not named.

The first Hardin vintage, 2003, came from a long-time Napa producer. Later vintages are assembled from small lots bought directly from top estates. The 2024 is Cabernet Sauvignon with a little Cabernet Franc. The label is a cream design with thin vertical lines and a large lowercase "hardin".

Polaner and Astor Wines describe crème de cassis, spiced plum and minerals, with rich fruit and silky tannins.

For a Napa Cabernet under $30, this is one of the safest buys in the section. If you want a named estate at a similar price, try Black Stallion.

Serve it just below room temperature. It's young, so give it 30 minutes in a decanter before a steak or burger.
